I think so too. There is a huge amount of content in current mainstream movies that would have been banned/censored a decade ago. Wolf of Wall Street would be an example.

No because it is still presented in a salacious manner (like adolescent boys getting a first thrill) unlike foreign films who take it in their stride and have for the last 50 years that I remember. The first nudity I saw was in Never On Sunday in 1960 when Melina Mercouri took off her shirt and had only a bra on. YOu would never have seen that in an American movie. What I dont like about nudity in today's movies is how awkward the two people are in a sexual scene and they dont know how to kiss. They go at each other rather than kiss sensually and romantically. It is interesting that in foreign TV shows, older people are sexual but not in American TV.

Oh No! It is not true! I say this because I am familiar with European films. I can name several recent movies that were 'modified' for US audiences and still received negative reviews for nudity.

Americans are still very provincial about things like nudity. They cannot understand that the "American way" is not the only way or the right way or the way of the majority. In Europe, and most of the world men cannot find bathing suits with long legs like in the US. European men on US beaches are laughed at for their bathing suits. You should see how immature or puritan Americans act when in Europe and come upon nude beaches where there are children or cars passing by.

I think so but its mainly female nudity though that you see in movies. Yeah I agree with Damian on Wolf of Wall Street, that contained a lot of nudity. I know some people aren't as accepting to it today but generally most people have learnt to accept things that weren't many years ago so I guess it is.

To a degree. Full frontal nudity is still frowned upon, but partial nudity is still accepted.

If it's in context then fine. If it's one of those things that seems out of place then it just leaves me smirking!
