Why does Captain America keep getting new costumes in the films?
He had one costume in Captain America (the war bonds costume and the improvised costume don't count), a new one in Avengers and if the publicity stills are any judge, he's getting a new one in Winter Soldier. What's up with that? It makes sense for Iron Man, since Tony is constantly tinkering with his armor and upgrading it. That's part of his character. But with Cap its never really explained, and as far as I can tell none of the other Avengers ever get new costumes. I thought the first costume was fine.

I think they're just trying to get in all the different costumes from the comics. Because he is one of the older comic heroes, his costume has changed many times over the years.

Well you are supposed to use your imagination on any fictional story.since you are having trouble i will explain it to you since I wrote the original story of captain America........you never see this part in any of the comics or movies because for some reason my editors always left it out. Cap is gay and his secret lover is a designer.this designer is called Franklin.franklin gets mad at cap for always wearing the same old tired clothes.he threatened cap that he would tell everyone that he is really gay if he didnt allow him to redesign his costume every so often.captain america readily agreed.

The Producers are always gonna try to make it seem new in some way.
Also why Batman's suit always changes.
