I need an opinion on work performed on an 03 jeep wrangler.?

2 months ago I repaired broken off bolts in an engine block. Had to pull the engine to do so. spent about 14 hours on it. 2 days ago he texted me saying they broke again and he stopped by for me to take a look. Long story short i rigged up a bracket to keep it from clunking and to give it some support.

so heres the question he expects me to redo the job for free, but it just snowed and he was talking about 4wd. do you think he may have been abusing it to cause it to break again?(4wd on pavement causing it to bind and stress) etc... And what should I do about it.

Update:

Motor mount brackets by the way...

Update 2:

I dont want to touch it. I dont Have time. I have been passing all my work off to a friend. The wife started night classes last month and all of my nights consist of whaching the kids.

Update 3:

grade 8 from ace. and passenger side motor mount bracket to block bolts.

It depends on the what bolts you replaced. If it is exhaust manifold bolts, I would dig a little deeper to see if something else like a broken motor mount or loose exhaust system is causing it. If you used grade 8 bolts and there is nothing defective, I would not do it free.

Since its motor mount bolts, I would not warranty it. #1. He contracted with you to drill out and replace the bolts, you did that, and replaced them with the proper grade.

#2. He didn't bring it to you to fix other drive line problems like bad transmission mounts or worn out motor mounts.

#3. The length of time and abuse he put it through in that time. Those bolts didn't break from normal wear. They broke from faulty parts elsewhere on the vehicle, or abuse.

What bolts broke? The power steering pump bolts? If you replaced them with the factory spec grade 5 or 8 bolts, and they broke again? I guess I would be wondering too. If you replaced them with whatever bolts you had laying around, It may be the right thing to do, but you have to let your conscience guide you. After all, It may be hard to prove abuse. Abuse would definitely require that person to pay for the repair again, but short of that, the customer may deserve a re-fix at no charge. But just my opinion.
