Has universal common descent been observed?
This question is ONLY for those who think that universal common descent is a fact, and who realize that facts need to be observed in science.
If it has been observed can you give me a link to a paper where it shows that is has been observed. Not the evidence, evidence is used for theories. Give me the actual observation of universal common descent.

No EddieJ. This question is for those who think UCA is a fact. My point is not that its wrong. I believe in universal common ancestry. It just is not a fact. You seem to think its ok to lie and say that it is a fact because you believe that it is true. Well its not ok. Lying destroys science.

Wait, not evidence but direct observation about things that happened before there were even organisms with eyes to observe them with? What do you expect from us?
Also, why would observation be more valuable to you than evidence anyway? People can claim to have observed anything and only evidence can make those claims credible.

Universal common descent has not been observed but is strongly supported by numerous lines of evidence.
Common descent can be considered a fact, UNIVERSAL common descent probably shouldn't be (not with present knowledge anyway).

So, because we cannot document the lineage of the earliest life forms, you're assuming that not all life is commonly descended?
The same life that all has the same chemicals in the DNA? The breaths the same oxygen, even though hydrogen is more availible?

Science deals in evidence.
Things can easily be verified without seeing them.
