GOP Response To CBO Report?
I am loving how liberals are all up in arms about the GOP twisting the words of the CBO report to fit their agenda against the ACA.
It is almost like they believe this behavior to be insanely wrong! Not that it has stopped Democrats from doing the exact same thing for decades...same as the GOP...and basically all politicians for centuries!
Yes, I would say the GOP terms regarding this are misleading and I would rather they not be taking this approach, but at the same time, this has been the Democratic tactic for so long it is laughable that they are up in arms about it.
If this is so bad, why are liberals NOT calling out their own party for all the lies and misleading interpretations of data?
If you cannot come up with a time that Democrats misled people then you are blind and never will accept any type of fact that proves your views wrong. The examples are legion!
That being said, in response to Phil's thoughts, the report (as I have seen thus far) speaks directly regarding those who are working JUST for insurance, which has not been part of the GOP responses I have seen so far. I am conservative, but I can acknowledge negatives within our own ideology. This is one, but as stated, it's been going on as long as there have been politicians.
@Gabby: George H. W. Bush said "No new taxes" and Democrats have hammered that one against him both during his term and ever since. They do not acknowledge that he found that taxes had to be raised and crafted a deal with Democrats to increase taxes in return for spending cuts. Taxes went up and Democrats reneged on the spending cuts. Same thing happened under Reagan at least once. Liberals blame Reagan for increasing the deficit and debt but conveniently ignore the fact that the House was controlled by Democrats, who were responsible for writing the legislation that cause the increases, but solved the recession level economic crisis at the time. Under Obama, he is not to blame and the GOP led House causes everything...is that not misleading and a lie?

How are Republicans twisting the CBO report?
The report says people will wok less or quit their jobs to keep their Obamacare subsidies. 2.3 million people is the estimate.
What is being twisted?
Handout programs encourage less work to keep getting the handouts. Nothing twisted. Fact.

Wrong. The left does not have a history of pulling the same crap the Republicans have been pulling for the past 5 years under Obama and during 8 years under Clinton. They've taken the rhetoric beyond just political posturing. That equivalency that you claim exists, doesn't. If it did then perhaps we would have heard Democrats talk about impeaching Bush or Reagan the same way we hear Republicans casually discuss impeaching Obama. If you are going to post a rant like you did you should first know some history.

I guess it would be easier to answer your question/rant if you gave even one specific example of a time Democrats have done this and none of us objected.
Having said that, I will tell you that on this site and in real life, Democrats are FAR more interested in sticking to the facts and will apologize when they get it wrong, while many cons live in a fact-free, right-wing bubble, refuse to entertain facts at all and never apologize when proven wrong. So comparing the two is a false analogy.
Furthermore, I have observed that the commentators on the left are willing to criticize, disagree with and be disappointed in Obama whereas I never once heard a right-wing commentator criticize George Bush.
