How was Frozen originally supposed to have ended?
I listened to the outtakes and I read that Elsa was originally supposed to be a villain and there was this prophecy that a queen with a frozen heart would ruin the kingdom unless there was a sword sacrifice. So was Elsa originally supposed to have died? What was the original plot?

In the orginal Hans Chirstian Andersan the snow queen is a bit more villainous (note this has nothing too do with the orginal story). In the orginal story a goblin makes a magic mirror that shows the ugliness of the world and then breaks it so it infects peoples eyes and freezes there hearts. When a young girls older brother gets infected he is spirited away by the snow queen the spirit of winter (all though kidnaping she is also helping him because he no longer can look at or interact with the normal world) and the young girl has to go on a quest to save him.
sounds like Elsa was going more on the original snow queen route. And I think it would have better if they had made her a bit more of the bad guy, not had one. She is the main problem in the movie even if she is not evil or inability to control her powers is what causes the chaos to begin with.
