    I would start off with no "thou shalt nots" and lead with two of the following "thou shalts": Love God and love each other.

    I don't want to be God or create a race of people. Anyway, as you say; IF.....

    I would leave things just as they are in the Holy Bible. God's ways are perfect and much higher than man. His way needs no improvement.

    Thou shall strive to be truthful in all things.

    Thou shall do no harm to others unless in self-defense.

    Thou shall honor the Gods in the ways your people deem best.
