Yesterday my baby sister was in the hosipital due to a allergic reaction to a pizza from dominos so i couldn't go in (first time in 4 months i didn't go into work) and today my mom had to work longer due to leaving early yesterday to go to hosipital so i have to baby sit till around 6 and im suppose to go into 5. my shifts 5-8:30 today and idk what to say, i don't like lying to my work nor lying in general and i don't hate working but i don't want them to be mad at me for calling in two times in a row

you already have a reason what you want from us is an EXCUSE.....

just tell the truth, if you do a good job, and they want to keep you they will.....

if they want to fire you for absenteeism the reason you give them will be meaningless.

You have a reason to call in but don't leave it too late to let your boss know.

However, your mother needs to find alternative childcare for your sister that is not you in the future, should the need arise.
