Point and Shoot Camera Sugesstion?

Question

I'm looking for a camera for bird photography. But SLRs are out of my range. So seek to buy a point-and-shoot camera with higher optical zoom (30x or more). My budget is approx.15000.

Please suggest.

I've primarily chosen Sony Cybershot h300 (35x zoom, 16 MP). Please share your views.

Do some research on how good or bad those high power zoom lenses are before making your decision. You may find that those high power zooms are as much of a detriment as an asset.  At the very least, plan on carrying around a tripod if you plan on using it fully zoomed in.

Hey!
I have this camera;
It's a canon camera called the POWERSHOT SX500 IS, it's amazing!
Some of it's features are;
~a 16mp camera;
~a 30x zoom;
~a 24mm lens;
~and a HD video camera built in...:)

This camera is a great starter camera and I couldn't recommend it enough! It works great for indoor and outdoor shots; and the quality is really crystal clear.

beyond 12 MP cramming more megapixels into a tiny 1/2.3" sensor does not increase detail, it magnifies blurs and increases noise and noise reduction artifact.
