Can you help me with this proof? (pre-calc)?

Sin(45°+a)= square root of 2 over 2= square root of 2 over 2 (cos a+ sin a)?

I've gotten as far as square root of 2 over 2 cos a+ square root of 2 over 2 sin a

    Sin(45°+ a) = √2/2 = (√2/2) (cos a+ sin a)

    ?? is that correct ?

    then (cos a+ sin a) = 1

    and (45°+ a) = arcsin(√2/2) = 45º

    a = 0

    sin a = 0

    (cos 0+ 0) = 1

    1 = 1

    what are you trying to prove?
