Why do job applications ask for your work history then turn around and ask for your resume too?
I mean work history is basically your dang resume. What gives?

The company's app form gives them the basic information in a standardized format for everyone. The resumes they receive can be in a lot of different formats, provide additional information, and show them your ability to organize information and present it well.

There should be a lot more to your resume than just job history! Perhaps you should research wehat a good resume includes.

resume always has more detail about what you did at that job. at least it should

They like to cross reference your answers. Some people cannot give the same answer one
page away.
