We both have jobs and that pays the bills. We each have our own cell phone. Currently we have no contract pay as you go phones. Certain amount of minutes each month and unlimited data.

We have a family plan. We didn't used to because I used to call family long distance more, but then we got skype. I'd just do whatever's cheaper for you two. It doesn't reflect on your relationship how you pay your phone bills.

I buy a 1 year tracfone card and stretch the minutes out as long as I can.

He pays his, I pay mine.

We have separate plans and separate carriers. We both had them before we met and haven't cared enough to change it.

Oddly enough, my daughter (from a previous marriage) is on his plan and he pays hers too.

We put both our numbers on the same plan. Our bank accounts are combined. It makes it easier.
