How would this exhaust sound?
I was thinking recently and I was wondering how this set up would sound?
-2.5" Catback exhaust with a 2.5" (Inlet/outlet) 28" length glasspack thrush.
I have an 01 Honda Civic and I took off a resignator and put a huge *** tip (Might be 3-4 inches) and its pretty loud, but the reason why I just took the resignator off was because my 2" piping couldnt fit the thrush. But I was thinking, if i bought a cat back exhaust that is 2.5", and put the 2.5" thrush on, how loud would it be? Any one from experience or good knowledge, would it still sound nice too? Because i wouldnt want the combination of the two to make an ugly noise. Just wondering! Thanks!

I've answered hundreds of exhaust questions. The reality is, all your work will have the same sound as virtually every other civic with an exhaust. A 28" glasspack is a large muffler, so it would be fairly subdued sounding, but I'm not sure where you would mount something like that.
The sound you get from the exhaust has more to do with the engine than the exhaust. A 4 cylinder will sound like a 4 cylinder, no matter what. Bigger pipes with less insulation/baffling will be louder, but it will still be unmistakably an inline-4.

I love loud engines so I say go for it it would not sound bad but it would be nice with the 2.5 so be safe and please rate beat answer
