What would you think if Derek Jeter's last year in baseball is a World Series win?

It would be nice. Rivera didn't even get to pitch a final playoff game so you can't count on it. But it would be nice.

I would think Jeter went to a different team (Red Sox, Tigers, Dodgers, Cardinals) and sat on the bench during the World Series. Jeter's final game at Yankee Stadium could happen anytime starting in April.

Would be a nice story for most players of his quality, but he already has "five" World Series rings.

If the Yankees "did" win the World Series, I'd be happy for Carlos Beltran and Ichiro Suzuki finally getting a World Series win, not about Jeter now having so many rings he needs to use two hands to wear them all.

I'd say congratulations. But that's not going to happen. The entire Yankee infield is a toxic waste dump except for Jeter, and that's assuming Jeter can stay healthy.

There is a good chance that this will happen and if it does, then not only pro wrestling and the NFL is phony, or looks like being PHONY, but baseball too. Which is why I can only enjoy baseball because I know as a fact the NBA and the NFL is PHONY, hence no Peyton Manning and a intense OMAHA count, Peyton was told of the NFL SCRIPT two weeks before the game. The Yankees are looking pretty to have a solid season in 14 ( who needs Robinson Cano ), and Jeter is only 39 or 40, not 80, there is a big difference you know. In fact Jeter could lead the league in hitting at the age of 40, again for the young and dumb people 40 is not 80. Jeter is a great person and baseball player but if he went out as a world series hero, as much as I know about all the BS in Wrestling and the NFL, I'd still believe it to be a modern day story of a great baseball player like Lou Gerig and Babe Ruth. Great baseball hero's don't have to go back 80 years. Yes it is possible to have such greatness even in 2014. If Toronto has a bad season, I hope it happens, and Jeter is a great person and deserves all of the compliments, I only wish the MLB network would smarten up and stop their 24 hour coverage about Derek Jeter. I am an unbiased Baseball fan. First and foremost. I just don't think the Yankees have the horses to win it all any time soon.

Well -- "fix" if Jeter's breathing remains factor heavily into how the championship comes about. If he goes 1-4 as a pinch-hitter throughout the postseason, then the Yankees really did win it.
