People use debit / credit cards all the time on PSN. (*and yes, you CAN use a *debit* card as they all now act like credit cards online*) They've increased their security so no one can hack it. If it wasn't safe, then they wouldn't allow it. So you can use any debit / credit card and be safe. Not only that, as was mentioned, you're covered by your bank if anything fraudulent were to happen.

Nobody ever hacked the billing info for the PSN.
In any case, if your card has a Visa or MasterCard logo (which it would have to in order to work on the PSN) then it's fine because you're covered in the event of fraudulent charges.

Dont take the risk. Go buy some PSN points from a local game store. It is pretty much the same, and plus you can use cash at the store, which is obviously much safer.

You can only use Debit and Check cards with the official MasterCard or Visa logos printed on them

Hi Dan,
PSN does accept debit card as payment, providing that they have an official Visa or MasterCard logo.
