Money has been withdrawn from my account without my consent nor knowledge. A sum of £130, so ok not thousands but nonetheless a withdrawal I simply cannot account for. What can I do to get it back?

Don't be so hasty, go to your bank and ask them for details of that withdrawal and chances are that you forgot a direct debit or some other payment you made last week. If it turns out to be fraud and you can PROVE it, you will get your money back. This is NOT the crisis of the century, just needs a bit of common sense to resolve.

Phone your bank right now. They have people to talk to at all hours. They can help find how this withdrawal happened and prevent more money from being siphoned off.

Call your bank - now. The 24 hour fraudline number is on the back of your card.
Before you do that, you are sure you've not applied for a loan recently...? Could be one of the notorious admin fees.

Call them up, tell them how much & when it was deleted from your account.
I one time went to check on my account at the ATM,
only to find $1,000 dollars in it more than should have been!
I went inside, reported my find, and later was told that the owner had just called them that morning, and . . . they had been checking, trying to find it, but only found it when I told them where it was! Never found out how the mistake was made, or by whom, though.
They sent me a Thank You card, and . . . I switched banks. (;

You ring your bank to find out what has happened - if it was fraud, they will refund you.
