How did Pink Floyd's style affect other bands?

It didn't really affect bands from that era. The beatles were famous before then, and Pink Floyd were actually thought to want to imitate the beatles. bands from the 70's werent affected by Pink Floyd either.

However, bands that came from the 80's and after, many of them were influenced by pink floyd. Wether it was the lyrical style, or musical style many of them were influenced by pink floyd. Megadeth, Incubus, Dream Theater are among the many that were influenced.

PS: Dream Theater has many, but many songs in which they quote pink floyds music, or use a similar style.

Im not really sure if it did. I cant think of any other other bands that are quite like pink floyd, they basically had their own genre of rock and roll and nobody really tried to copy it.
