Which dealership will give you the most money on trade in for your Camry depends on very specific circumstances that are always in flux for any dealership. Depends on the time of month, their used car inventory, the deal you may or may not be trying to make for a new or other used car on their lot, the condition of your Camry, other people who may be trying to trade the same type of car in...the list goes on. There's no way to predict the future. You can research the wholesale value of your Camry online using www.edmunds.com, www.kbb.com, www.nadaguides.com or www.clearbook.truecar.com

Dealerships are never going to pay more than wholesale value for a car so if it is top dollar that you need, you are better off selling the car yourself privately.

I am a dealer, and I have bought and sold a ton of Camrys. The problem with your car is, Honestly, there is nothing special about it. Camrys are everywhere, and every dealer and his brother has one. You can find one anywhere, and for cheap too. No dealer will be exited about buying a Camry, and if they are going to buy it, they will take it in cheap, so they can sell it to someone looking for a cheap payment, and they can make a ton of money off it. Carmax and new car dealerships won't give you much for it at all... They look at average book value and generally offer you $500 or 1,000 less than that, and they won't step up and give you more, because like I said, Camrys aren't in high demand. If you really want top dollar, your best option would be to put it on craigslist. It won't be as fast or easy as getting a check from a dealer, but you should be able to get a lot more for it.

The car is of little value other than transportation. Sell it yourself, get cash and follow thru on transfer and move on. Avoid trading it in.

Go to WalMart, McDonalds or Taco Bell.
