Why are Brits talking about Scottish referendum?
When the European elections are sooner. Has the entire country just forgotten to write that into their collective calendar. For all you know SNP, EDL and UKIP could become the three largest parties in the country. The Scottish referendum could become a fait accompli.

Results of the Euro elections can be undone at the next election. Results of the independence referendum - if the SNP win - can never be taken back, realistically. They're far more important.

The Scottish referendum is a one-off, irreversible event. And don't be fooled into thinking we're "all" talking about it. Only us saddos who spend their time on this site are. This site is not real life and among the general population it isn't such a big deal

An independent Scotland could be great for England - I would willingly send the whole of the Royal Family, a very large percentage of the MPs, all the House of Lords and all illegal immigrants. What an improvement for England!!

Lol,
"SNP, EDL and UKIP become the largest party",
One the EDL isn't a political party.
Two, a total of 1.5 million only voted for these two parties in the last election, somewhat short of 24 million who voted for one of the 3 main parties!!

I agree with the answer Marcus gave and hopefully Salmond will lose because I know myself or any of my friends will be giving the NO vote
