Is 15 years old TOO OLD to start ice dancing?
I started figure skating (single) when I was 8 but only started intensivey doing it about 3 years ago. I am almost 15 now and I have suddenly taken interest in Ice Dancing. I, however, stopped figure skating for almost 6 months now because single skating wasn't fit for me. Now I let go of all my coaches and have been dancing more. (I have been dancing since I was 3 years old but re-started dancing last year... so I have dance history). I also got to level pre-juvenile in both moves-in-the-field and freestyle and has started to work on my juvenile moves until I stopped skating.
Am I too old to start skating again and do ice-dancing? I just wanted to see if this was a good discipline for me. I feel that I would do a lot better in ice-dancing because I won't be as nervous since I am not alone. Also, how does the ice dance process work? How do I start ice dancing and how do I find a right partner?
Bonus:
How much will I have to train in order to have a chance at going to regionals, nationals, worlds, and maybe the olympics? I have a dream and I really want to make it come true and I feel that with enough work and belief, I can have a chance.

I'm going to answer this one with a personal anecdote.
I started skating age 3. Freeskate, mostly, but I was doing my ice dance tests. So when I started officially Ice Dancing at age 14, I had a background in it, not to mention incredibly strong edges, turns, etc. from my years as a free skater. And I was a really good Ice Dancer. My partner and I were a strong ice dance team for our group (junior). We never made it to the Olympics (obviously). Maybe if we could've made it four or eight more years, we might've, but it didn't happen. Didn't even make it to Senior level, or to nationals at Junior level..
The fact that you don't even skate anymore says it all. You're not going to the Olympics, no matter the discipline. Ice Dance is just as hard as free skate, and requires just as much time and dedication as free skate. It's all very well to say that if you work and believe, you will achieve, but there are hundreds of skaters who work their butts off, and really believe they can make the Olympic team… and they don't. And they've been skating much longer than you. You won't even find a partner at your level; boy skaters are so in demand, if they're quality skaters they can literally have any partner-less girl they want.
You can do it recreationally and as a solo skater though. It's fun, it's a good work out, and it's great if you're a perfectionist. You will need a private lessons though, and will have to pay for partnering if you want to test your dances.

You are never going to the Olympics, Worlds, Nationals. Flat, cold, that's the truth, it's simply too late.
No male ice dancer who is seriously on that level is going to look even once at someone who hasn't even skated in six months and is just a beginner ice dancer. Finding a partner can be hard enough for elite ladies.
There's nothing stopping you taking up ice dance for fun, for local competition. But don't expect to go anywhere with it.
