Supposed Unemployment dropping, yet more and more people getting on food stamps?
I understand how the Unemployment numbers are manipulated because long term unemployed people simply fall off the statistic and are not counted any more. Here is a link to the statistics.

If it's anything like Britain everytime a news organisation does an item on food banks the customers turn up in droves. It's called free advertising.

It's always been common knowledge that there's an official and an unofficial set of statistics for unemployment. At this point the official statistic is about 7%, that means that it's about ten to 12%. 5% is considered a decent rate of unemployment with an unofficial rate of 7 to 10% acceptable. However all is not lost.
Many 'unemployed' people work in the 'underground economy' where work is paid for in cash with no taxes collected. Low pay for those that are working full time without benefits is the real problem. Any attempt to deal with this problem is greeted with cries of 'socialism' as is any attempt to change our trade policies that in some way would favor US workers.
Many people working full time or in the underground economy require food stamps to stay even with expenses. After all, if an employer has to deal with hungry or malnourished workers that's a negative for the employer and production will be less. The investing class requires an army of healthy workers and yet they're not happy with paying these workers enough to provide for their needs. 'The government' therefore subsidizes the investing class through taxes... which oddly amounts to the same thing.

No decent minimum-wage, the US economy have warped Free-Market to an Economic-Slavery model, most people work themselves into bankrupcy, they literally aren't earning enough to live(which should be a fundamental to a healthy-economy, everybody needs to be able to live, from having a job).
It's basically what happens when the Government isn't REGULATING excess in the economy.

statistical data is so easy to manipulate to suit each persons agenda
Therefore, as propaganda props for demonstration they are often used. Unemployment is DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!! cries the shill showing a downward sloping graph.
And yet suckers will believe.

Yes the stats are very wrong and many people get food stamps because all they can get is working a couple part-time jobs. There are very very few quality jobs out there.

Those sanctioned off JSA or those who have simply given up are now considered "self-employed", and those on zero hours, zero pay contracts are now considered fully employed, even though they are really slaves.

The numbers aren't manipulated.
