Obama has the gall to blast other politicians for going home for the holidays while vacationing in Hawaii for weeks? We already know he did not go to any religious services on Christmas.

Why is the standard “go-to” political strategy these days for beating the opponents of our personal views into submissive silence, then dismissing them? By doing so, we are dismissing wonderful opportunities for discussions that need to be had. This is why I say it is far better to engage in open, honest communication. Yet, it is important to start off with mutually beneficial goals for all parties involved. I say establish common ground in the direction with which we all choose to share and live in our shared communities. Next, it needs to be understood that just because people have different points of view that does not make them "bad people," simply people with different point of view. Allowing all parties to be accountable allows our focuses to conversations that elevate above hate, bigotry and preconceived notions. Let us lead the way to a world of empathy and compassion for all. This is why I agree with Brandon Ambrosino when he said, “I wonder if the Duck Dynasty fiasco says more about our (GL&T) bigotry than (Duck Dynasty’s) Phil’s?”

I just read this and wonder how much more stupid could we Americans look because of Obama?

In an angry exchange with Barack Obama, Angela Merkel has compared the snooping practices of the US with those of the Stasi, the ubiquitous and all-powerful secret police of the communist dictatorship in East Germany, where she grew up.

The German chancellor also told the US president that America's National Security Agency cannot be trusted because of the volume of material it had allowed to leak to the whistleblower Edward Snowden, according to the New York Times.

Livid after learning from Der Spiegel magazine that the Americans were listening in to her personal mobile phone, Merkel confronted Obama with the accusation: "This is like the Stasi."

The newspaper also reported that Merkel was particularly angry that, based on the disclosures, "the NSA clearly couldn't be trusted with private information, because they let Snowden clean them out."

Snowden is to testify on the NSA scandal to a European parliament inquiry next month, to the anger of Washington which is pressuring the EU to stop the testimony

For me this was the Best Top Chef ever!

Held at the Alamo (not in the basement...lol) in Texas the five Chefs were made to ride Pee Wee style red bicycles and form what they described as a "Biker Gang" to gather their supplies, the find a restaurant to cook their dishes (and in one case the bed and breakfeast's too) and return to reheat and serve.

Regardless of what you think of Pee Wee Herman, this to me was by far the best Top Chef ever! Pee Wee was intelligent, insightful, witty and just down right entertaining. The look on his face and comeback about "chicken" was so funny. His statements about seasoning food and later "Catsup" were insightful.

In the end it came down to the decission of which mistake had to leave the show: 1). Undercooked chicken, 2). Too much stuff served with chicken, or 3). Underseasoned food. This was the only disappointing part of the episode.

Regardless of the final decission, is there a better Top Chef episode out there?

This is our experience with them. Am I being fair with my obervations after our very bad experiences?

A couple weeks after purchasing my daughter her Nike CTR360 cleats (our English friends refer to them as “boots”) she suffered an injury to her right ankle. Since then she has suffered numerous injuries to include a severe ankle sprain.

This past weekend my daughter showed me an approximately one inch diameter blister on her right foot, on the ball just below her big toe. Examining the inside of the cleat I noticed a large buildup on the medial half of the shoe and the lateral half was depressed. This forced more pressure on the outside of the foot and substantially increased to possibility for ankle rolls to the outside.

Further close examination it was apparent there was something else as well, a depression on the medial side, between the second and third outter prominace (plastic extension, aka: cleat). The size of this was about one inch as well.

I am not an engineer but only a concerned father. So, I decided to take a closer look at this cleat. Simply looking at the construction at the bottom of the cleats it is quite noticeable there is far more plastic at the base of the individual plastic type extensions where they attach to the shoe. Although, there are regions of lesser strength at various parts the portions where there are not plastic extensions. Thusly, medially between the second and third plastic extension cleat there is no extra strengthening. This is a critical place not to have it because of all start ups and stops required while playing soccer. This highly stressed region the shoe either came with or developed a depression.

To make sure my observations were correct another player borrowed these cleats for one game. She noticed a very awkward feel to the cleats and said she would never wear them again.

My daughter is a very skilled and gifted soccer player here in SD. Last year she left a very elite soccer club team. This was difficult but understand I am a single parent and her team got a very abusive coach back. This coach really was abusive to my daughter. Both my daughter and I were afraid if we stayed with that coach we would be taken back into court and lose custody.

I presented problem to the DOC who also was divorced at one time with children. I asked if we should consider other options such as a year up B-Team or the oner her age? Should we move to another club. This discission was forcing us to consider other options. The DOC gave us our release paperwork. Because the club scholarshipped us because of my lack of income, I felt we had no other option but to leave. The coach left the club earlier this year.

Since then she has played for 2 different clubs. The first club the coach was a very famous MLS player but he always made everything about him. Also, he would lose it during the games so we left. This latest, 2nd club the DOC is the coach. He is a very knowledgable and kind. The girls are not skilled and resent my daughter for all the work she does to get and keep her skills. It is so bad, these girls do not understand offsides in their teenage years! My daughter says they are way more concerned about their hair and makeup than soccer. We lose to everyone and the girls (and the parents) are not even nice. The latest drama is one of the girls' mother refused to buy her the latest cellular phone so she called her mother a "Witch" with a "B" in front of the team and the parents. The mother did nothing. My daughter said the teammates gave the player a hug and sided with her and a lot of similar stories came out along with advice on how badly to treat your parents when they misbehaive that way.

President Obama pledged to end partisanship, but instead all I have seen in his presidency has been him exacerbating it. He recently accused House Republicans of being extortionists for opposing a raise in the debt ceiling and wanting to defund Obamacare.

Yet if you look up on Dictionary.com it defines extortion as "the crime of obtaining money or some other thing of value by the abuse of one's office or authority."

The president wants to raise the debt ceiling, threatening to curtail many government operations if the GOP doesn't surrender. Yet history shows Obama once held the opposite position about debt and ceilings. In 2006 Obama said: "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure." Really? What, then, does it say about his leadership now?

Here is what I think. Am I giving another Wrong Answer?

This Judge should be recalled. First and foremost the public has entrusted him into a position of trust. This Judgeship is a responsibility he campaigned for, wanted and now fails to see the importance of helping our fellow human beings with empathy, compassion and true juctice.

This girl was arrested on a drug charge. She was clearly acting very strangely with both her body language and responses. Watch her, unable to even give a dollar amount for her jewlery. She is unable to communicate. Clearly, this is a desperate cry for help.

So instead of helping her, this Judge comes orders hard and heavy with punishement after punishement... with extreme predjudice! This Judge should be recalled! This is simply not the same punishements he would have gotten for a member of his family.

A crime against the most vulnerable in our society is a crime against all of us.

Other than SD Surf, what soccer club would you reccommend in San Diego, CA and why?

My daughter started 7th grade this year at Olive Pierce Middle School. She did not know she had PE that day because on different days they have different periods and classes. When they lined up to run the mile, she near the back because the boys would not let her get near the front. Probably because she was wearing those "casual" vans shoes, a flowered top, and I think a jean mini skirt. NNevertheless she knocked out a 6:02 mile time. The closest boy was at 6:23. Guess she runs like a girl (lol). She has had some training with Jen and Bo Nielsen of JB Soccer Training.

She said the teacher had a really confused look on his face and asked if she was a cross country runner? She said, "No, I am a soccer player." Her next time two weeks later was 5:57.

As far as running goes, how would you rate this?

On her interview with Dan Patrick this morning, the very first thing you notice is that she has an extremely annoying voice. My God, it is incredible how annoying it is. Just let me shoot myself in the head instead of having to listen to her voice.

Then, she refused to answer any questions about the rumors of her posing naked. Good news for you art lovers and perverts out there, by the way she was so defensive, I think we are going to see some pictures of her very soon!

And then, her appearing on Dancing with the Stars, wtf? Again, I think this is in the works, but no decisions have been made... out of her control freak hands.

My daughter (11ish) loves and lives soccer. So much so, she told me she wants to become an "international soccer player." She can't seem to get enough. She lives for this wonderful sport! We live in San Diego and plays for one of the top teams here. She trains with Mario (san diego futsal), Jen Nielsen (jb soccer training) as well as her club team.

We gave used this kind video as kind of a road map.

The question was something along the lines of Bob asking why when his girlfriend came back from being with her friends, there was a gay guy with her that kept making passes at him (Bob said he is "bi"). He thought the his girlfriend was cheating on him with this guy. The question went on and on and on and on and on...
