Question about health insurance?

Since we can now keep our children on our plan till they're 26 (the new 18), what happens if a 25 year old gets pregnant? Or a male adult child gets his girlfriend pregnant? Is the baby (grandchild) covered till they turn 26? And, what if they get married at 22, can you add their spouse? At what point should our kids f***ing grow up?

Just wondering.

Update:

Thank you justgrandma, I am married with one late in life child (I am 52, husband 62). But, I am raising her to be self sufficient before 26. Thankfully, at 11, she already has a huge sense of personal responsibility, and has received her first college scholarship to study science this summer, with other preteen girls, living on campus in the dorm. We are so proud, she will start college at 16.

P.s. thanks for the link.

It doesn't cover grandchildren, just your child or stepchild, and if your daughter gets pregnant yes, she can get prenatal care and not have the baby in a field. I do have daughters and I don't think that's a terrible thing.

The girlfriend is out of luck, if they marry only your child is covered, not their spouse.

Our kids should grow up and get their own when one of two things happen, we finally feel that paying people is a good thing, or they turn 26. You don't sound like you have kids, or you'd know that with the cost of insurance previous to this, few young people can pay the thousands of dollars it costs, and that leaves mom and dad with their resources drained when an eighteen year son old crashes his car into a tree and sustains brain damage. And no parent will leave their child to the state for care until their own resources are drained.
