Twitter follower question?

Ok. So I have about 1,380 followers. Is that 1k. Because in money 1k= 1000 ,and if it is why doesn't it come up as 1k instead of 1,380? Im confused.

    yes 1380 is technically 1.3k but twitter is still able to fit 1380 in the "followers" section so they keep the entire number until you reach 10k.

    K doesnt use for thousands. It used fr more than 100 thousands would b 1K. Not 1000followers
