How to deal with rude person in dance class?
So these rude people sometimes come to Zumba. I'll be standing there minding my own business and they'll stand like two inches in front of me effectively forcing me to move so I don't accidentally kick them or slap them upside the head. ( Zumba is highly active dance and requires room, if not careful it's easy to run into or hit someone who's too close). But I don't want to move I was there first! Also, they block the view of the teacher. It really ticks me off. The teacher never says anything about not standing too close to someone. What should I do? Isn't it rude to ask someone to move? Should I just allow myself to run them down while dancing? I don't dance very well and stand in certain positions for a reason. I have good visibility of teacher.
I don't want to stand in front row because I still make mistakes and could mislead others.

It's not just zumba where that happens. Dancers do it all the time, especially if you show any sign of weakness. I'd like to say stand your ground but I usually end up edging to one side so I can try to see the teacher. You could try asking the teacher if you can change positions during the class so that you can see - they should rotate the rows.

I teach a Zumba class that is ALWAYS packed. But I started off just like you, on the floor bumping into people. But my advise is to just move! I understand you were there first and most likely theres a specific spot were you ALWAYS want to be at and that your comfortable with during your Zumba class. Zumba is supposed to be fun and stress relieving, and you can't really accomplish that when someone is blocking your view from the instructor. And you say that you don't want to move to the front? Why not? Give it a try one day. Keep in mind that everyone is focused on THEMSELVES and THIER work out, and over all having a good time! So even if you miss a step, no body will be mislead, if their watching the instructor and if they already memorize the choreography! Best of luck in your Zumba class!

I would stay where you are and don't move one bit. If they say something, say this "You'll just have to understand the fact that i'm not moving" And they'll stop. They are trying to test you as far as they can. DO NOT let them run over you. That's a time of exercising/you time etc. Give them their own medicine.

Just focus on you and how good of a dancer you are! Kill them with kindness! I'm a dancer too, and trust me! I use this technique a lot because girls are mean no doubt about it! Give them a smile or a wave and it will make them angry, just act like you don't care! It drives them nuts!

Prove yourself through your dancing skills. Just focus on what you want to do. Ignore them and pretend as if their presence doesn't affect you. They will soon give up on you :) If you can dance even better than them they will feel as if u are superior to them and stop :)
And lastly relax and keep dancing
