Did my computer short out?
Hey guys i have this very frustrating problem.
My PC worked like a charm yesterday, everything cool and stuff.
So next day i plug all the cables and turn on all switches and try to turn it on,but the only thing that happened is :red and green lights in front flashed it didn't power up.Everything is fairly new except motherboard(its 4-5 y old).I dont understand this, why is it happening. So far i experienced no problems whatsoever, this is the first one and i think that it's fatal.
I ran Modern Warfare 3 and BF3 on very high-ultra/extra settings
Everyday until this saturday worked perfectly
I actually keep it on my desk
I checked my hardware and it was psu.

It could have.....do you keep your computer on the floor? Do you have carpet? I recently installed a PC at a clients office that was kept on the floor. You build up static and all of a sudden, you touch it and an electric shock kills the computer. This was a brand new PC and the motherboard, graphics card and power supply both died.
Static electricity kills computers, the worst places to have computers is on the floor, on carpet and in a room with low humidity
