This accessory is not supported by this iPad?

Ever since I updated my iPad 2 to iOS7 my iPad says "this accessory is not supported by iPad."

The accessory is an Apple brand AV cord, so I can view media (Netflix or YouTube) on my TV. Is there any solution for this problem? It has only been occurring since I updated to iOS7 and despite the new iOS (7.0.6) update, it continues to malfunction.

    Get Apple TV it only costs about $100 and lets you put what is on your iPad on to the tv.
