Should I wear make up to formal dance?
I never wear make up because I don't want people to think I look bad when I don't wear it. Well the guy I like asked me to this dance (we go to a small, Christian college and its kind of like our prom) and I have a fancy dress and hairstyle all ready, but I wonder if looking extra nice for him at this dance is worth breaking my no makeup rule.
If I decide to do it I wouldn't use false eyelashes or foundation, just eye make up (black winged eyeliner, mascara and silver eye shadow) and lip gloss.
I just don't want him to always be comparing how my face usually looks to how it will look at the dance, you know? Should I do it anyways?

Yes, you should do it. It will only be for one night and its not like your going to wear makeup that will make you look bad. The only time I wear make up is for special occasions like that and most of the time I don't wear make up at all! I am a Christian girl and believe in natural beauty. But this is a dance that's your "prom" were talking about here, its one of those nights you can have fun with your friends, wear this cute dress, and dance with the guy you like wearing make up would make you look really pretty. Its a night you want to remember so you want to look your best especially since your most likely going to be taking pictures with friends. Don't think just because you never wear make up people are going to think you look bad when you don't wear it. That's negative thinking and you should ignore if others would think of you that way. You don't have to wear it if you don't want to. Foundation does wonders for your face, it would make you look good. If he really likes you, he shouldn't compare to how you look without make up or not. Also I hope you that depending on what are the colors of your dress and maybe along with your choice of hair style will coordinate on what kind make up you'll be wearing for the night and also depending on the complexion/shade of your skin will determine on what kind of foundation you'll be wearing. Wear your dress, with yourself dolled up and have FUN. From my experience, the last time I was ever dolled up was my prom which was 2010,on that night I had people doing double takes, its a good feeling and one of the best nights of my life. I hope this helps.

Use a brown eyeliner instead! Just do a slight brown eyeliner wing, 1 coat of mascara (don't do lower lashes) and skip the eyeshadow! maybe put a shimmery white eyeshadow in your inner corner :)

Yes, you'd better make up for such a formal dance.
