The American Family Association, Focus on the Family, and the Family Research Council are all Christian organizations. That's kind of weird, considering that Jesus said to forsake your family for him.

I love my "enemies" because they are human beings...it's a basic love and empathy that I have for people.
Having to choose between Jesus Christ and others, it must always be Jesus Christ. Essentially, that is the message, and what the certain verse means...this is the passage:
Luke 14:25-27
Leaving All to Follow Christ
25 Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 26 “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple.

Jesus only doctrine was love. He said to hang every teaching on that belief. He didn't tell us to abandon our families. He told us not to love them more than we loved God. There is a mistranslation of this teaching that says hate. The Greek miseos means to love less.
No thought for tomorrow means to have faith. I don't know who Muhammad Atta is but Im pretty sure he has a cab in PA. .

And "hate your family".
"If any man come to me, and HATE NOT his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." - Jesus Christ, Luke 14:26
Oh - the others are setting us straight, you misinterpreted it. "Hate" doesn't mean hate, and "'abandon" doesn't mean abandon and "no thought" doesn't mean No Thought.

You're misinterpreting that verse. Jesus is saying that your commitment to God is always first, and above even the love for family. You can find many verses where the Bible tells us to take care of family, so abandoning them is clearly not the intent

No, his main doctrines were to love your neighbor and to love God.

So much ignorance, so little time
Sure I'd like to see him get saved, and repent from his extreme evil and buttholery
abandon....that's just stupid..the bible does not say that
