I have a cell phone question?

When a friend sends a text from Google SmS and I reply do I get charged? I have AT&T and I have unlimited texts. But when she texted me it said standard rates apply. What does this mean?

    Some people do not have unlimited text or any text plan, they are just warning those folks. This assumes you are texting a US number from a US number.

    It refers to text/data rates. Like remember when texting was $0.15 a text? And mobile internet was something the rich can only afford. If you have unlimited texting. Then you shouldn't worry about being charged!
