kayak rules in Michigan?
My daughter is wanting to get a kayak, someone told her that it has to be registered(numbers on the front, DNR sticker etc) I went to the Michigan DNR site, and one page says "Privately owned kayaks DO Not have to be registered" however another page of the same book says " Non-Motorized canoes and kayaks have to pay $5 registration fee and have a number except under section 80123" but no where can I find section 80123
Can someone help my daughter?

I read this to mean that if the kayak is not used for rental purposes, it does not have to be registered.
