The other night at the dinner table, my three kids-ages 9, 6 and 4-took time out from their food fight to teac?

how would u condense this sentence and have it still mean the same thing

    1) I don't really know what you mean by 'teach'

    2) you let your kids have food fights at dinner? It's not mannerly you should discourage them from fighting with food at a family get together time and have them get along instead.

    3) maybe they are getting tired of fighting with each other and want to get along, or, they were hungry

    Instead of their usual food fight, the other night my three kids aged 9, 6 and 4 took a time out to eat their dinner. (You don't need "table" as it should be assumed they are at the table.)

    BTW, your question should have been posted to the "Education and Reference" category. Because you used the words food & dinner, YA put the question in the "Food & Drink" category.

    I don't follow what you mean by 'teac'.

    Food fights shouldn't be encouraged.
