Theres a lot of theories of what he mumbled at the free throw line, some say it's a shout out to his kids, some say it was a prayer to his dad or grand dad that died or something, some say championships, idk. Did he ever tell anybody what he said, or does it still remain a mystery?

theres a documentary about him where he says he whispered 'ball' to himself because he focused on too many other things and couldnt make free throws without conentrating on just the ball.

Don't think he told anyone. Me personally I believe it was like a stream of consciousness thing, whatever he was thinking in the moment.
