How strict is Allegiant Air about carry on bags dimensions?
We're going to be flying soon on Allegiant Airlines and their carry on bag policy states that you can bring on a bag that is 9 x 14 x 22 inches "including any wheels and handles" etc. The bags I have used for years and have always carried on other airlines are these exact measurements "not" including the wheels and handles.
I figure the bags I have are standard size and I can't imagine them being so strict as to get picky about the "wheels and handles" when boarding but it's written into the wording about baggage size limits.
Has anyone flown with them and had any issues with bag size? Or, has your experience been that they aren't as strict in person when boarding as the rules on their website imply?
Any advice would be appreciated.

They are pretty strict. The ultra-low-cost carriers are always looking to make an extra buck, so they often check carry-on sizes very closely. My sister thought her bag fell within the allowed dimensions, and it did not. And you have to pay more at the airport than if you check in and pay in advance. It's best not to chance it.

Ranger, very strict, they have to make up some revenue somehow, to compensate for the discounting.
