Could I have a future in any form of law?

At 18 I was arrested for burglary of a habitation with intent to commit assault, assault serious bodily injury, and retaliation. Long story short I wanted to fight this girl, she knew she was gonna get her *** whopped so she wouldn't come outside. I smashed her glass door and drug her outside. I got stuck with that stupid burglary charge even though nothing was stolen! Anyway, my lawyer got this dropped down to simple assault and 2 years deferred probation. After my 2 years if I stay out of trouble, I'll have a clean record. He said only law enforcement will be able to see I was arrested but not what for... Could I pursue my new found dream of becoming a District Attorney or is this never happening? Informed answers only please.

It won't happen. To be licensed by any state bar will require a background check that will bring up any sort of criminal conviction. There is no way that it can be visible only to law enforcement. If it's in their records, its in records. This will probably come up on any background check you ever have done. You need a much better explanation of what happened...

Honestly, the burglary would have probably been better than an assault. The assault will make it difficult to get any job! So, get a good education and never hide the conviction from potential employers.
