There's no tried and true. If she's got morning sickness it's best for her to just eat whatever she thinks will stay down. Healthwise, have her give up empty calories like pop, potato chips, prepackaged snacks. Lean meats, chicken, lots of fresh fruit and veggies, whole grains. The best food advice I ever got (pregnant or not) is to stop buying meals and start buying ingredients. Cut out the junk and make sure to increase soluble and insoluble fibre and make sure to eat foods rich in iron (some red meat, and lots of dark green leafy veggies). And when the craving hits you for a cheeseburger, ice cream etc, indulge it. You're only pregnant once, and if the baby wants french fries, let it rip. Just realize that it's a treat, not an everyday thing.

Generally, you are what you eat. You can see it in your skin too. To feed yourself and your skin, look for:
foods rich in Vitamin C: help produce collagen to feed the skin
omega-3 and omega-6: fatty acid oils that are awesome for skin
vitamin E: it’s an antioxidant that helps protect. Almonds, avocados
Zinc-rich food: helps to repair. Pumpkin seeds, wheatgerm
Vitamin A: helps new skin grow. Eggs, milk, fish
Iron: help skin tone. Sesame seeds, apricots
B-vitamins: energy, skin glow. Get it from beef or spinach!
