Help! I'm trying to lose weight while my spouse is weight lifting and trying to bulk up. I need help with meal ideas where there is enough protein but also balances my need for more veggies and less carbs with their need for more carbs and a general dislike for veggies. Please only ideas that conform to what I'm asking and not pressing new ideas. Thanks!

Does anyone know of a good website for learning American Sign Language (ASL)? I have found good websites for learning ASL in general or "baby ASL" which have been really great, but I'm looking for a way to practice the words I will need to use most when working with a student with special needs.

Tomorrow I will receive a handwritten payroll check. The check does not list an associated bank, only the name of our business. As well, I am moving and have to cancel my bank account tomorrow morning (yes, I have to cancel it, it is a local credit union and I will no longer be local). How can I cash this check? I cannot go to Wal-Mart because they do not accept handwritten checks. I cannot do it at my own bank because I am withdrawing all my funds and then asking for the amount of the check in addition to that. I need to get this money tomorrow. Any ideas?

I want to grow a plant from seed in my bedroom. I have two windows. I can let the plant sit in the windows when they are open. I want something that I will be able to germinate and maintain despite the fact that I have never done this before and I assume I would be good at killing plants. So, it has to be a pretty basic and easy to grow plant. Something green. A flower is nice but not necessary. And it MUST NOT BE poisonous to cats. Any suggestions?

I am young woman new to online dating. It makes me nervous, but for me, the entire point of it is to meet people in person. How should I go about doing this? I understand that I should be in a very public place with a friend and whatnot. But before that, how long should I talk to someone? I'm really hitting it off with this guy. We talk for hours every night for a few days now. We live near each other so I don't see the point in just talking online when we could meet face to face. I wouldn't want to waste time online just to meet in person and really not like him. Or the opposite, spend time dilly dallying when we could be together falling in love. So, how long do I wait before we meet? Should I wait for him to ask me? Or do I stop thinking about meeting and just focus on maybe Skyping next? (Which I am nervous to webcam even with friends so help me try to avoid this!)

I eat mostly breads, fruits, Greek yogurt, cereal, granola, and almond milk. Is that considered a diet high in protein and carbs? Is that good for you? I am a young woman who is mostly active when working with children on a daily basis. What do you think of this diet? I love meat but I do not eat it daily, and I have a hard time eating vegetables.

I have a 32gb iPod touch, and I am upgrading my basic phone to an 8gb iPhone 4s. I would like to keep using both, but for specific purposes. Since it has more space, my iPod will keep most of my music and since the iPhone has 3G internet, it will have apps that require it. But otherwise, I'm not sure how to divide my apps/use of both. Does anyone use both? I want to make sure my iPod touch still has a use other than just music (also since it has more space). What apps are recommended for the iPhone that would be useless on the iPod?

I bought a new Calvin Klein lightweight trench coat for Spring. The shell and liner are both 100% polyester. It is water resistant. It is very nice. (Originally $170.) The tags say to wash cold and tumble dry low. But I am nervous about washing it in the machine. First of all, would I use my normal detergent? Won't it make the fabric weird? Or will it cause weird wrinkles? Is it OK to iron it? Could I dry clean it instead. Even if I can use the machine and an iron, is it a delicate process? I am a total klutz and I ruin everything. Would it be too far fetched to get it dry cleaned? Or would that be the safer option? As well, I've never dry cleaned anything (still a pre-professional). About how much would a coat cost for a basic clean and press? (At a small town dry cleaner)

Big St. Pat's Day parade today, I am designated driver for my roommates. Since I will be sober, I want to be awesome instead of the typical annoyed sober person. Everyone is morning drinking and partying at the parade until I get out of work. I'm going to show up with gatorades and donuts. Any other ideas to be awesome? Other than drive them wherever..
