Is a black cat an acceptable renaissance faire costume?
I have never been to a ren faire and this Halloween will be my first. I know I have many costume options but please tell me if going as a black cat makes sense or if people will think I'm an idiot.

Usually for the Rennasaince Festival, people wear knight, King/Queen, Princess, monk, jester, etc. costumes and other medieval-type things. Plus, where is the fun in dressing up as a cat? Be creative and have fun! It's Halloween! You can be anything you want!

Doesn't make a whole lot of sense -- there weren't a whole lot of Furries or anthropomorphic cats running around during the Renaissance.
Just as a suggestion: a lot of RenFaires have costumes you can rent for the day; you might check their website for more information...
