First of all the Tar Sands will have an overall negative impact on the environment but we will do it anyhow because our human species is shortsighted and I think it is a mistake.It is destroying Alberta and will release tremendous amounts of greenhouse gas. AND much if not most tar sands oil is destined for foreign consumption,
However since we are going ahead with it, the lesser of two evils is to ship that stuff by pipeline as opposed to rail with exploding trains which has happened several times so I have to give it a qualified YES.
