Why do people eat pork? Dont these people know pigs are dirty and eat anything?

You need to actually read about pigs, not depend on misinformation. Pigs are actually very intelligent and clean animals. Do you like dogs? Many of them will gladly clean out a cat litter box.

EDIT: @ Morgan Robinson: Pork is not the safety risk it was in the past; Trichinosis has been largely eradicated in domestic, commercially raised pork, due to different feeding regulations (no more feeding of animal parts). Most Trichinosis cases in the US are from eating wild game, or improperly raised home fed pork. Many chefs regularly serve medium-well cooked pork.

Roy is right, are you from the Dark Ages or just uneducated, pork is a lean clean and healthy meat, pigs are raised differently now than in the 1500's or in Biblical times, there well breed, some live there lives in there own stalls, most are kept in pens of 4-8, dirty is a matter of contradiction, they do not bathe like humans but are sprayed down every week, I have a friend here in Ontario Canada that raises Berkshire Hogs, they weight 500 pounds plus, he feeds them a grain/nut and beer mash diet, I have even had meat from the loin raw it is so good.

Most people who don't eat pork do so for religious reasons. That being said, pork is amazing in flavor, and pigs are actually quite clean animals, cows are actually dirtier. The only thing that can lake pork "a problem" is the need to thoroughly cook it, to avoid bacteria, or sickness.

What about the vegetables you eat, they sit in cow/pig manure, some places use urine. If you actually look into the biology of animals and plants, you might better understand this. If you knew half the stuff that was in your food, you would cry.

Pork spoils relatively quickly. The prejudice comes from times before effective food preservation and from countries where the climate makes this a problem.

It tastes good and is reasonably priced for meat. Ham, pork, gammon, bacon, salami, meatballs, schnitzel, pies, where would we be without them. Pigs are pretty smart animals too.

It is a good meat to eat and for many it isn't a religious problem for them.
