Is this just anxiety?
For about a year or so I've noticed that I started getting more prone to anxiousness and nervousness. It didn't hit me until recently how badly it's been getting, when I started a public speaking class. I realize that many people get anxiety talking infront of people, I didn't used to be horrible at it until about a year ago, and since then I started shaking uncontrollably and starter and freeze and just feel like my body is being pierced by daggers. Now I have an internship and I'm making a bunch of mistakes, and each time I make one or ask a question I feel like I'm going to be told that I'm not good enough and that I'm going to get fired. I can't deal with it, I wasn't nearly this bad over a year ago and I don't understand what happened and what I can do to fix it.
I don't really exercise and my diet is very bad (I've barely been eating and only been getting about 6-7 hours of sleep), but I'm not sure how much that will really help me because I feel like there's so much more to this.
Maybe it is the diet and sleep. I don't know. I really need help, I feel like I'm at the brink of a breakdown.

Yes, it is anxiety. I have it too. I recently got a part in a play and before i had to go on stage, i felt really sick and anxious. The trick i used to keep myself from having an anxiety attack was to get my mind off of what i was about to do. To do that, i got a song in my head so that i would sing to it and not think about the play. Also, keep moving. Exercise is a very good way to keep your anxiety from getting the best of you. When public speaking, it is good to practice what you are going to say as much as possible. But if you practice right before you are about to speak, it could mess you up. Practice so you know what to say, but not before you say it. If that doesn't help, ask a doctor or a therapist to help you.
