What's wrong with my dog?

My dog woke up at 2am , and she pooped and it was diarrhea and she couldn't make it to the door fast enough. This morning again around 6:30 she was in her kennel and did it again. Then when she was at doggie daycare she threw up. All she had for dinner was her normal food and like a tiny piece of baked chicken. What's the matter ? What can I do to help her?

Give her rice just plain white rice. And it should help calm the stomach. Do this for a few days until she seems better if not you should contact your vet.

Withhold food for 18-24 hours to allow her stomach to "rest." Then give her a very small amount of boiled hamburger or boiled chicken and rice. Be sure to boil the meat thoroughly and make it as lean as possible. Don't use turkey or pork.

Give her a very small amount to see how her system handles it. If she's fine in 30 minutes, give her another small amount. Wait a couple of hours. As long as she's ok, give her more. Feed this bland diet for about a day then provided her tummy is ok, gradually mix in her regular dog food until she's back on dog food completely.

If her digestive issues continue while fasting or giving the bland diet, she'll likely need to see the vet.

Think back to try and remember if it's at all possible she got into anything. Other people food, trash, anything.

Many times such illnesses will resolve on their own, but in some cases, they need vet care. Make sure your dog has access to fresh water all the time and make sure she's drinking plenty to avoid dehydration.

Withhold food for a few hours and watch for additional vomiting or diarrhea. If she is still sick after 24 hours take her to the vet.
