Insomnia is driving me crazy!?

My sleep pattern has been blown out of the water! I sleep in two or three hour segments and then am wide awake. This often carries on through the day. Fortunately, I am retired so that doesn't matter.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to lifestyle or medicines which will help me to get back to a normal pattern?

Thank you for any advice that you can offer.

Take a melatonin tablet and then swallow a couple teaspoons of honey . They are mild sedatives that really work. I'm usually asleep within ten minutes.

Try this site http://www.helpguide.org/life/insomnia_treatment.h... it's really good. From personal advice though, try to be calm and eat sleep inducing foods, or drink milk or a subsitute for it. Medication should be a last resort.
