It is a political issue that is now closely taken us by storm, we are now accepting the rights of the LGBT, but it is not proper that we allow such travesty to rule our society. It clearly violates the 2 gender that we have, the male and the female. It is not a dumb question, it is only dumb if you do not know how to answer back. No offense for people who belong to the LGBTI group or association. If these countries ban homosexual then why not also us. So you think this people are wrong, I do not think so, they are practically doing the right thing here. Homosexual are sprouting like mushroom in the Philippines. Hindi naman sila nanganganak. This is the first time in our history that we have gay host/comedian/tv personality. Way back in the old days people are straight forward. There are a few but they usually act and speak like gentlemen and do not wear women's lingerie in public. But times change I know, the end of days perhaps? I like to hear those who are against and those who support LGBTI. Even if you try to remove my question, I will appeal it. This is a healthy discussion regarding our present issue and could only be discuss openly unlike before we seldom hear any of it. thanks for properly addressing my questionnaire.
to Matt---in the bible, genesis God created man and woman, did God forgot lesbian, gay and transvestite? I do not think so. In the usual form of document it is written; Gender male or female. Is it time we revise this documents and now write gender: male or female or gay or lesbian etc. ? which of these item who do not understand please so it is clear to me you are gay matt is this not correct?
to clncarplz--you do not like gays as a school teacher but you tolerate them around you, how come? I mean there is too much inconsistency with what you are telling us and the one that you have in your feelings. Why are we going to ban left handed people or crooked legs, that stupidity. What we ban are homosexuality, is this not clear to you yet? Morality and decency is at stake here not those with different physical feature. Gays are not born gays, they are brought up by environmental factors or genes, I don't know. If a person is male he should be male or if female be female this is but simple to understand, is this too hard to understand for some? I have no power to delete answer that doesn't suit me, they are free to write or say anything. buy I argue my side that is all. if I will delete your answer you couldn't have add that additional words with your answer. there are groups here who doesn't like you and me. I too have 5 thumbs down in every answer I done. that doesn't surprise me. reading your grammar is like eating a walnut that is too hard to crack. teachers are our second parents when we are at school did you know that? but not all teachers are role models. some teachers rape/molest their students and some beat their students so how can they be a role model for you?
it is not i'm saying everybody here are robbers. we are totally under siege by hoodlums and other lawless element already you do not read newspaper? I thought you do. people here are gun down mercilessly because of freedom. a license to do almost anything. in leyte you haven't heard of people died of gun shot or shot in the head while walking and taking their car or belongings? so peaceful there in leyte huh. you like being with gays but not as teachers that is double standard to me.

At the risk of having my answer deleted like others have been my answer will be
"No I do not think it is time to join the 82 countries that ban homosexuality".
Let them do their own thing if they want. If we start banning somebody because they are different then soon we will start banning people that are left handed because they are different than the majority of everybody else.
Personally I do not have any problem being around or working with gays. I don't like to have one as a school teacher however because then the students will think it is OK to be gay.
Edit. I will try to put this in words easy for even you to understand.
Pls read my answer again as I did explain my reasoning there - but anyway.
Students will copy their teacher because they deem them as role models. That is why I don't like gays as teachers.
As for being around me I am NOT a student anymore ha ha. I let them live the lifestyle they want.
The remark about banning lefties is only showing you the next step that might be taken by radicals like ????.

It sounds like you are saying that "everybody" in the Philippines are robbers. That sounds racist.
ps I hope you don't delete my answer like whatever happened to the other people that disagreed with you.
Edit again. Yes I laugh also about the same group of trolls that TDs both of our questions.. So I guess that if you did not delete those answers they must have done it themselves (maybe they seen where you was right & was ashamed of what they wrote!

Just because some Religion doctrine limit themselves to only 2 genders doesn't mean it's correct.
In Buddhism the 3rd Gender is recognized as being every bit as part of the natural order of life as the others.
Given a choice between treating people with respect or shunning them as out siders I'll take the respectful line every time.

Before you know it, you and the Philippines will be in the minority. The Dalai Lama, who commands respect and reverence around the world, has said: "Who am I to judge. I'm only a human being." The Pope, when asked about marriage between persons of the same sex, said: "Suppose we set that topic aside, and let's just love all humans". The Arizona case was an excellent example.
In the U.S., you know that all cases brought to the courts dealing with LGBT has won in their (LGBTs) favor.

Angola and Mozambique are cool though (they are Roman Catholics; and perhaps the only Roman Catholic nations to so far ban homosexuality).
