How do you deal with PayPal when they refuse to respond to a problem?

I can't use my PayPal account because I can't log in without providing my bank account number. I have repeatedly entered the account number in every possible configuration, but none of them is acceptable. I have some money in the account that I'd like to transfer, but they've ignored three requests for help.

    Your bank account number are the last 10 digits imprinted at the bottom of your checks and follows immediately after the check number that precedes it.

    Beware: they'll want you to provide personal information about your account to validate your identity.
