Can someone show me where it says in the bible, Once saved, always saved?

I can't find it, thanks.

Update:

Fireball, can you give me how you reasoned that to mean what I asked?

Update 2:

Not one of those Scriptures that people who believe once saved, always saved, have posted says that. It would be what a person interprets. If someone comes to the knowledge of God, then falls back to the same life before, very sinful life, what would be the point then?

    Maybe it's one of these blank verses;

    (John 5:4) 4 ——

(John 5:3-5) 3 In these a multitude of the sick, blind, lame and those with withered members, was lying down. 4 —— 5 But a certain man was there who had been in his sickness for thirty-eight years.

    (Matthew 17:21) 21 —— (John 5:4) 4 —— Acts 29

(Acts 28:28, 29) 28 Therefore let it be known to YOU that this, the means by which God saves, has been sent out to the nations; they will certainly listen to it.” 29 ——

    Or maybe this is more accurate;

(Matthew 10:22) 22 And YOU will be objects of hatred by all people on account of my name; but he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.

OOPS, looks like to be saved you have to endure to the end, and it looks like that means "once saved, always saved" makes no sense at all.

Salvation is an instantaneous irreversible event. Sanctification is a life long process. The Bible teaches Once Saved Always Saved 100% (John 6:47, John 6:37, John 19:30, 2 timothy 2:12-14, Hebrews 7:25 Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Jerehmiah 31:3, Ecclesiastes 3:14 Titus 3:5, Colossians 2:12-14) and many other places in scripture

Your sins were completly forgiven past, present, and future, the moment you placed faith in Christ.

To say that the cross of Christ did not pay for ALL who have had faith is wicked

However there will still be consequences for neglecting our salvation, the flesh reaps, The Lord Chastens, blessings and rewards are conditional, and accounts are given to God (See Hebrews ch 2 and 1 Corinthians ch 3, Hebrews 6:8)

God will never forsake a child (Isaiah 49:14-16)

anyone teaching a lose salvation doctrine is a self righteous religious hypocrite not trusting in the eternal and unchanging saving grace (2 Timothy 1:9/Galatians 2:20) and is going to burn in Hell when they die. Paul wrote anyone corrupting the Gospel will be cursed. They are living under the curse of the law. They are not recieving the kingdom as a little child as mark says one must.

In the new covenant the purpose of the law is to show us our need for grace.

Source(s): Hebrews is dealing with progress not salvation. No one in the bible lost salvation. Not Solomon Samson Lot David Peter God is faithful. Praise him! @ in Psalm 51 duh David is praying for the joy of his salvation back which clearly indicates he had his salvation. However his sin has led him out of the light. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. People need to actually read their Bibles. Matthew 24 is dealing with tribulation not salvation of the soul.

The reason why you cannot find it is because it is nowhere in the Bible. If you turn to Matthew 24:13 it says; "But the one that has endured to the end will be saved". In other words only those who serve Jehovah faithfully until their death. We have one great example: Jesus Christ. We have others such as Job, Noah, Abraham, etc. that were faithful until their death. If we want to be saved, we too need to be faithful until our death.

That is NOT a Bible teaching. Jesus himself said:

(Matthew 24:13) But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.

We are not saved for all eternity when we become a Christian. It is something we must work at daily and be faithful to in order to quality. We have to "endure to the end" to be saved.

It doesn't. What it says is "He who endures until the end, he SHALL be saved". So obviously one who does not remain faithful until the last moment of his/her life will NOT be saved, regardless of what kind of acceptance of Christ he/she may have made earlier in life.

No. I don't think that teaching is in there. Rather, I think some of Jesus' parables were directed at people who were or are going to be believers who might 'fall asleep", or be cruel to their servants, or allow the word of God to grow cold.

It doesn't. Rather, Jesus said that by endurance we would preserve our lives -Luke 21:19

I doesn't. That is a Baptist doctrine of belief. Not everyone who claims Christianity prescribes to it.

yes here a few of the verses

    John 6:39

And this is the will of Him Who sent Me, that I should not lose any of all that He has given Me, but that I should give new life and raise [them all] up at the last day.

    Romans 8:29-30

    King James Version (KJV)

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

    Ephesians 1:13-14

    King James Version (KJV)

13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

the earnest is the down payment that guarantees the person will return to pay the rest owed

when god saved us he gave us his holy spirit we are sealed marked as his

the holy spirit is the guarantee god will save us and redeem us as his own

    Romans 11:29

    Amplified Bible (AMP)

29 For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]

You can lose your salvation even after you are saved.

Here are some verses that verify that.....

    Hebrews 10:26-27

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,

27 but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.

Jude 1:5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed those who did not believe. (God destroyed the people that lost faith in Him)

Ps 51:11 Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. (Just as God gave you His spirit He can also remove it from you)

Psalm 69:28 Erase their names from the Book of Life . Don’t let them be counted among the righteous. (We can be erased from the book of life)

Rev 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. (so if your name is in the book of life as being saved then it could be blotted out)

Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. (God can remove your name from the book of life)

    John 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, "IF" YOU CONTINUE in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. ("iF" you continue"...so if you don't then you are not his disciple and are not saved.)

    Remember what Jesus said....

    Matthew 7:22-24

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Remember also that even Satan believes in Christ and is not saved but will be cast into the lake of fire.
