Pens/Avalanche, who wins and why?
I know I just asked this question, but everyone who answered seemed to be completely anti-Pens. Please don't base your opinion on which team you like best, answer it logically. Please and thank you.

Wow. Both have similar statistics right this year.
Interesting situation. Did you realize that both teams will be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights and both playing the day before? Although Avs play Saturday afternoon and Pens play Saturday night, so Avs have more time to travel home and rest up. It's just a lot of scenarios to consider. Like the Ave's play St Louis the night before which is a team they are chasing in the standings and more important. Pens are on a Western road trip and probably all 3 games are of equal importance to them. So Av's are slightly more likely to have their backup goalie playing. But for goalie depth, I have more confidence in Av's backup than Pens.
So in the end I am going to say that the home team, in the mile high city, has a very good shot at winning given their winning record at home, and the arena reputation. The home team might be tired, but is use to the altitude, while the Pens are coming in tired and not use to the conditions.
