How to make money busking?
Im a 17 year old guy, i play classical guitar(pretty well) and i also play electric (blues to metal). i am also trying to learn how to sing. I was thinking of playing my classical downtown this spring break. any tips on busking? can i get in trouble? i live in the US in a town of about 65k ppl in california. If you have any tips, it would be well appreciated

Ask at city hall to find out the rules and whether you need to buy a permit. You won't get in trouble if you follow the regs.
I've found it's best to approach busking as a way to have fun and gain performing experience, rather than as a way to make lots of money (or even minimum wage). That way you can avoid disappointment, and on some days you may be pleasantly surprised.

1. Check out your local laws. Some places restrict such things to particular areas. Your local city has a website for all local codes.
2. Don't do this on private property. Which means no shopping malls or parking lots.
3. Find some place with foot traffic and couples. People don't give money when they're alone.
4. When a cop tells you to leave, leave. Same thing if the bouncer tells you to push off. You're never going to street lawyer your way out of a situation, you're just going to get your guitar broken.
