Singing On Stage For The First Time!!?
I have to audition for this Talent Show in my high school, and I have never heard my voice or sang for people before, although I have a nice voice (hard to believe when you never heard it....i know lol), any good advice to sing without hesitation? Thanks.....i have confidence, but is there a specific way of singing with a mike, like making eye contact or something?

Be certain that you warm-up your voice prior to singing by singing vocal scales and arpeggios. It is ideal that you warm-up your voice for about 10 to 15 minutes.
Keep yourself well-hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids. Most singers avoid eating any dairy products on the day that they will be performing or auditioning, because the eating of dairy products will produce phlegm. However, you know your own body better than any stranger in this site, so you will have to determine for yourself what you should avoid eating prior to the audition.
Hold the microphone a few inches from your mouth so that it is at an angle from your mouth, or don't hold it directly facing your mouth.
If the audience for the talent show is sitting in a dark auditorium, you don't need to make direct eye contact with the audience, however, you can look in the general direction of some audience members for a few seconds, and then turn your focus towards other audience members in another direction.
Good luck on your audition!
