CHRISTIANS are commanded to observe the Memorial?
of Christ’s death. This observance is also called “the Lord’s evening meal.” (1 Corinthians 11:20) What is so significant about it? When and how should it be observed?

What a wonderful question. Jehovah God loves all mankind, in demonstration of his love for us we are encouraged to take time to show our gratitude for the gift that God provided for all of us - The ransom sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
John 3:16,17
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son,+ so that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.+ 17 For God did not send his Son into the world for him to judge the world, but for the world to be saved through him.+
So I invite you to celebrate this most important occasion along with millions worldwide. The date is April 14, 2014 after sundown. Follow the link below to get your personal invitation:

It was to be done as a remembrance of when Jesus gave his life for us (Matt.20:28), as well as the establishment of the new covenant he made with those who are going to heaven. (Lu.22:14-19) It should be observed on whatever day Nisan 14 falls on after sundown,(This year it's on April 14th...) and the unleavened bread and wine should be passed amongst the observers. Only those with the hope of going to heaven should actually partake of the emblems.

Read for yourself what happened on the night of Jesus death, after he and his 12 disciples took the passover meal whaich they did every year on the designated day that corresponded with the day the angel passed over the homes with the blood spatter on the doorpost, killing all the firstborn of the Egyptians because they would not allow God's then people to be free to go and worship him. The events of that night were amazing! God fought for his people, freeing them from Egyptian enslavement.
But after Jesus shares that meal with the 12, He brings up the matter of the betrayer and dismisses Judas Iscariot.
As the 11 faithful disciples sat with Jesus, He then institutes the Lord's evening meal, with the bread and the wine. His followers are now to do this every year, as they did the Passover every year, now, because of what Jesus death would mean for a greater many faithful than those freed from Epytian bondage!
In Luke chapter 22 we read one account of that evening.
And at Luke 22:19 It is Jesus who tells us to commerate to memorialize THIS Evenings event of what he did with his 11 disciples with the bread and the wine.
By the Jewish calendar , that date is coming up, and on April 14th after sundown, it will be 1981 years ago that Jesus gave his life
(Matthew 20:28) in our behalf to get us out of what Adam and Eve put us in, condemnation to sin and death!
Yes, this is what we should keep as a memorial on that date, and in our minds every day of the year!
